Simon Property Group announced its plans to build Tulsa Premium Outlets in the City of Jenks in September 2015 — and when it finally opened in August 2024, after a pandemic-related delay and nine years of anticipation, it arrived as one of the most significant economic developments in Jenks history. A $100 million investment. More than 800 new jobs. And Oklahoma's first major outdoor outlet center, right here in Jenks.
Located just off the Creek Turnpike at the Peoria-Elm Street exit, the 340,000-square-foot open-air center brings premium and designer brands to the Tulsa market at extraordinary everyday savings. It's the only outdoor outlet center serving the largest metro area in the country without a competing property — making Jenks, Oklahoma the regional destination for outlet shopping from eastern Oklahoma and beyond.
Beyond the shopping, the center was designed as a genuine community space: a two-acre park and playground, green gathering spaces, a fire pit, a captivating fountain, family restrooms, EV charging, and a BOK Play Area for children. City Manager Christopher Shrout put it simply: "Many residents live here but work in Tulsa because we haven't always had the amenities related to entertainment and shopping." Tulsa Premium Outlets changed that.
